What is blockchain?
Blockchain technology (not to be confused with Blockchain Digital Wallet) refers to records that are connected and secured using cryptography. The data in a blockchain is statistically impossible to modify, and as such is used to permanently record information. One of the primary purposes of a blockchain is to record transactions between parties that are unreliable, such as bitcoin and other cryptocurrency transactions. Another is the secure recording of events, medical records, voting, and other types of records or data.
